Kazuyo Sejima, President
Kazuyo Sejima, President
Born in Ibaragi, Japan, in 1956
She graduated from the Japan Women’s University with a Masters Degree in Architecture before working for Toyo Ito architect office for several years. She launched her own practice in 1987 when she established Kazuyo Sejima & Associates.
In 1992 she was named ‘Young architect of the year’ in Japan in 1992.
In 1995, she established SANAA with Ryue NIshizawa.
Sejima has been awarded many prizes such as the Prize of Architectural Institute of Japan, The Ministry of Education’s Art Encouragement Prize and the Pritzker Architecture Prize 2010.
Her main projects include the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art Kanazawa, The Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion, The Dior Omotesnado, the New Museum of Contemporary Art and the Rolex Learning Cetner (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne).
Currently, Lovre Lens project is under construction.

Josep Congost
Josep Congost
Born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1956
He holds a degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
From 1981 to 1989, he was a founding associate and President of the Board of Directors at Ecotècnia S. Coop, and from 1989 to 1997 he served as Director of Vehicle Design for the Nissan European Technology Center of Barcelona (NETC-B).
He has been working with Roca Sanitario, SA since 1997, and is currently the Design and Innovation Director.

Andrés Jaque
Andrés Jaque
Born in Madrid, Spain, in 1971
Commissioned by the artist Ai Weiwei, he has built SWEET PARLIAMENT HOME in Korea, and the Venice Biennale dedicated its central space to his work FRAY FOAM HOME.
Along with his OFFICE FOR POLITICAL INNOVATION, he propounds an alternative way to understand architecture, devoted to the social rather than to tectonics, and more inclined to day to day management rather than to an urbanism of consolidated facts. They have created hostess for contemporary cities (TECHNO-GEISHA), Plans for Public Transparency, the first and only CHILL-OUT for retired priests, houses to be installed in day to day conflicts (HOUSE IN NEVER NEVER LAND) and jewellery that promotes big scale environmental transformations (SKIN GARDENS).
The most relevant international newspapers and magazines have dedicated articles and pages to discuss office’s proposals, and their work has been exhibited in several institutions in Basel, Dresden, Paris...
He is currently developing projects for Calcutta, Madrid, New York and Tokyo.

Benjamin Kempton
Benjamin Kempton
Born in Cambridge, United Kingdom, in 1978
He is the Interiors Director at Wallpaper* magazine, a leading international design title celebrating exciting developments in the world’s of interiors, design, architecture, fashion and travel.
Following a degree in set design at Wimbledon School of Art, he spent six years at the World of Interiors as editorial stylist. His role at Wallpaper* involves the research and production of large-scale shoots, and events as well as collaborating with freelance stylists.
He’s traveled from China to Brazil and to India over the last three years, designing temporary Wallpaper* offices from which the team produced its very special ‘Made In’ issues. This summer the offices will transfer to Moscow and St Petersburg, to work on the next venture.
He enjoys discovering and showcasing emerging talent, introducing exciting new designers from all corners of the globe to the pages of Wallpaper*.

Harri Koskinen
Harri Koskinen
Born in Karstula, Finland, in 1970
He founded his own studio Friends of Industry Ltd in Helsinki in 2000. In 2009 Koskinen launched his first own collection Harri Koskinen Works. In 2012 Koskinen was appointed Design Director at Iittala.
Koskinen has exhibited over 40 times e.g. in Berlin, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Munich, New York, Paris, Singapore, Stockholm, Tokyo, Venice etc.
He has been awarded with prizes such us Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize 2009, Sweden, Compasso d’Oro & Compasso d’Oro Selezione, Pro Finlandia medal, Red Dot Product Design Award, Good Design Award, iF Design Award, EDIDA 2007 Elle Deco International Design Awards, Artist grant for 5 years by The National Council for Design in Finland etc.
Some of his clients are Alessi, Altia, Arabia, Artek, Beauty Prestige International, Cassina IXC, Danese, Design House Stockholm, Finlandia Vodka Worldwide, Galerie Forsblom, Galerie Kreo, Genelec, Iittala, Marimekko, Maruni Wood Industry Inc., Issey Miyake Inc., Montina, Muji, Muuto, Oluce, Panasonic, Seiko Instruments Inc., Swarovski, Venini, Woodnotes and more.
He has public collections in the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museum of Art and Design, Helsinki; ittala Glass Museum, Iittala; The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design; Fonds national d'art contemporain, France and Kunstgewerbemuseum, Berlin.
