A jumpthegap®(talk) given by Ana Mir took place early in the afternoon on the 22nd February within the framework of the prestigious Frame Awards. The event took place at the Frame Lab space, devoted to multisensory exhibitions and workshops, in the same emblematic Westergasfabriek building in Amsterdam where the Frame Awards were presented. These Awards recognize interior design projects on a global scale. Frame Lab explored the future of design in spaces from different perspectives.
With the title “Socializing Views on Design”, the Spanish designer delved into the sensory world with the aim of connecting people in more social environments. Ana Mir is co-founder of the Emiliana Design Studio and has a professional career of more than 20 years, with a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Central Martins in London. The conference was a reflection on the extent of our alienation from physical interaction with the increased use of the Internet and social networks today. It is important to bear in mind that we cannot forget the senses when creating the design of a product or a space.
