The first jumpthegap®(talk) in the capital took place at the Madrid Roca Gallery on the 30th May 2017, focused on analysing how the water crisis and the environmental impact can affect design and architecture. Under the title “Water, from risk to reward by design”, Henk Ovink and Marta Thorne reflected on this burning issue.

- The seventh edition of the competition has had over 6000 registrants.
- The winners will be announced in October: two of them, in the professional and student categories, with a prize of 10,000€ for each and the third prize of 6000€ awarded by the We Are Water Foundation.
Three members of the jury of the seventh edition of jumpthegap®, Josep Congost, Isabel Roig and Benedetta Tagliabue, and the expert in innovation strategies Joan Vinyets gave the jumpthegap®(talk) “Meaningful innovation: opportunities provided by design and architecture to solve people’s real needs” at the Roca Barcelona Gallery on the 23rd February 2017.
