Martha Thorne
Martha Thorne is Dean of IE School of Architecture and Design.
Since 2005, she has served as the Executive Director of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, often referred to as “architecture’s Nobel. Thorne, who holds degrees in urban affairs and city planning, often writes for books and journals on contemporary architecture and cities. For three years, she was as a member of the ArcVision jury, a prize honouring outstanding women architects.
Henk Ovink
Henk Ovink is currently the Special Envoy for International Water Affairs for the Kingdom of The Netherlands. As an ambassador, he is responsible for advocating water awareness around the world.
He has served as Director General for Planning and Water Affairs and Director for National Spatial Planning for the Dutch Government. Ovink served on President Obama’s Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force and developed and led the “Rebuild by Design” contest. Rebuild by Design was awarded the first-ever “Most Groundbreaking Federal Challenge or Prize Competition” by the US Federal Government.
